Get measurements: Make sure you are not taking iron to compensate for blood loss. We do not lose iron unless we are bleeding. So once we ruled-out blood loss, get your serum iron & ferritin levels measured because too much iron can cause oxidation, liver disease and heart disaese. You don't want to become overloaded with too much iron.
