Emzyme Deficiency: There are many types of this as some forms are identified as soon as birth & others later in children/teens. There is a deficient enzyme in the adrenal cortex so that there is an accumulation of androgens from inability to go from one hormone to the next. Many, particularly infants with cah don't make enough cortisol or aldosterone. Salt imbalance & genital ambiguity are seen in some babies.
