Typically no.: Corpus luteum cysts are practically normal in pregnancy and no cause for concern if <5 cm. Larger and/or complex cysts could be related to ovarian pathology (benign or malignant) and merit prospective monitoring with ultrasound and consultation with gynecology-oncology.
