A member asked:

Is it possible to have both rapid heart rate and anti-thyroid antibodies?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The two aren't necessarily related entities unless your thyroid function tests suggest that your thyroid is overactive. Antithyroid antibodies can cause a transient hyperthyroidism sometimes. However, if your thyroid function tests are normal then something else is causing your rapid heart rate.
