Premarin (conjugated estrogens): Premarian with Provera (if you have uterus), Premarin (conjugated estrogens) (if hysterectomy), is the best for hot flashes. However, you have to consider the risk for dvt, pe, stroke, heart attack, possible risk for breast cancer. The risk are low, but possible. If the hot flashes are so bad, you may consider this option. Sertraline , clonidine, Gabapentin are other option but not as effective.

HRT: Short term hormone replacement therapy (hrt) generally works best for these symptoms. Be sure to speak with a qualified gynecologist or reproductive endocrinologist who can best tailor your treatment to your individual needs and situation and see if hrt is right for you.
