Scope in knee: An arthroscope is an instrument that, after anesthetizing area, is inserted into the joint (here, the knee). It has a scope allowing the surgeon to look all around, and then it has tools in addition that allows the surgeon to clip, cut, remove or suture whatever needs to be. It involves a remarkably small incision, far from the large incisions needed in the 'old days'.

Scope: Arthroscopic knee surgery is a minimally invasive procedure where a small camera and small instruments are used to evaluate and repair the knee. This is generally done using 3 small stab incisions around the knee cap. It is beneficial for cartilage, meniscal and some ligament injuries in the knee joint. It is a safe procedure with a low overall complication rate.
