A member asked:

Do you have to be double jointed to do the lotus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: First things first. There is no such thing as being "double jointed". This is a popular term for people who are very flexible. Some people have conditions with abnormal collagen and their joints are much too loose to the point of being unstable. In general, some people can do lotus very easily (my wife and some people will never be able to do lotus (me) despite the fact that i practice yoga alot.
