Yes: With today's materials, a patient with a knee replacement can have MRI studies of any area of the body. However, an MRI of the same knee will create artifacts and distortion, limiting the evaluation. Unfortunately, you do not know if the MRI will give you enough information to treat a patient with a knee replacement until you try it and see.
