Different: Aids testing is now easily done by an inexpensive screen, often in-office on saliva, and may soon be over-the-counter. With the backup tests, it's very reliable, but ordered only when it's right for you. You should be able to get it whenever you wish, free somewhere near you, if you're concerned. Blood testing for allergies is at best an extra piece of information, and is a different test.
