My 18 month has temp of 101.9 acting normal but had 2 febrile seizures at 13mo can we give tylenol (acetaminophen) and ibprofen at exact same time to start? need help

Best not to: Tylenol (acetaminophen) & Ibuprofen compete for same binding sites so one can get too much active drug if taken simultaneously (& tylenol (acetaminophen) can damage liver if too much in system). Best to alternate the 2 meds at recommended intervals (4-6 hrs) & use cool compresses or luke-warm bath to help lower low-grade fever. If fever persists or child develops other symptoms, see pediatrician.
