Variable: Like any drug, alcohol has its own pharmacologic profile and metabolism with acute and chronic adverse effects possible. If the aortic stenosis is mild to moderate or less, modest alcohol intake may have little to no effect. If the aortic stenosis is severe or critical, then instability of blood pressure or heart rhythm may result and create clinically important problems.
