Depends on Type: There are 6 classes of steroids ranging from ultra-high potency (class 1) to very low potency (class 6). Low potency steroids from class 5 & 6 are usually safe to use in the genital area for a limited amount of time. There are alternative non-steroid creams (calcineurin inhibitors) that may be more appropriate. See your doctor to decide on the best choice for your condition.
