Wrist strain: Sounds like a simple wrist strain, or overuse injury of the soft tissues of the wrist. It's best to rest it, wear a brace or support, ice when possible and take Ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatory. Avoid or limit activities that cause pain or this can become more chronic. Go see your doctor if it's not improving within a week or so.
