Many options: Acne is a chronic disease that affects 80% of the population. There is no cure but there are many treatments available to keep it under control. These include otc products, prescription topicals, oral antibiotics, birth control pills, anti-androgens, light and laser treatments, photodynamic therapy (pdt), microderm, glycolic and chemical acid peels.

Prescription meds: Most teenaged men, and women who by genetics or mild ill-health have extra male hormones, experience acne, but no one need suffer much nowadays. I begin with topical Clindamycin and generally have good results; tetracycline (if you can take it) or Erythromycin systemically for the rough cases; a dermatologist can prescribe a retinoic acid derivative that's strong but reasonably safe. Good luck.
