25-42%: 25-42% of UTI resolve without antibiotics. Waiting for 48hr is ok as long as there is no vomiting, fever, back pain and the person can take Ibuprofen for pain control and drink lots of fluids. If the infection doesn't resolve in 2 days then one should seek care with antibiotics.
