A member asked:

What should you do if an abnormal spot is found during fundoscopy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See retinal doc: You probably have had a diagnosis of an "abnormal spot" on your retina by your ophthalmologist (you are seeing an ophthalmologist and not an optometrist - right?). Something was seen (not too many bad things at age 34) and now given the large list of possiblities you need to have a diagnosis. If the person who found this is uncomfortable with a diagnosis, then get a referral to a retinal doc.
