A member asked:

After swimming in a lake, i had crusty eyes that had to be pulled open. infected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Beth Friedland answered

Yes, likely: The bacteria in the lake can cause eye infections. Rarely a severe infection can be caused by acanthamoeba in lake water.
