Acute angle-closure glaucoma. so what's this?

Eye emergency: Symptomatic painful red eye with decreased vision, typically from pupillary block, that leads to acute angle closure with very elevated pressures and at high risk for eye damage if the attack is not broken. The cornea gets cloudy, should be checked out right away.

Eye disease: Acute angle closure glaucoma is a potentially blinding eye disease that occurs when there is closure of the natural drainage system within the eye. This type of glaucoma is usually symptomatic. Early symptoms can be pressure or headaches around the eyes. And it in an acute attack there is eye pain, redness, combined with blurred vision, possibly headaches and nausea. It is a medical emergency.
