Depends on severity: If the cellulitis is properly treated, it should resolve within 10 days. If an abscess is present or the infection is resistant to your antibiotic, it could delay recovery until an effective drug is used or surgical drainage is performed. When severe, orbital cellulitis requires IV antibiotics and possibly admission to a hospital.
