A member asked:

How long does it take for an eye infection to heal totally?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: Many eye infections are self limiting and clear up in 7-10 days. However there are infections that are deeply seated in the meibomian glands of the lid or are from chronic bacterial colonization of the skin. These can take months to clear up and can be very persistent.
