Hip labrum, muscle: If the injury started during activity, you worry about a groin strain that hasn't healed or been rehabed well enough. We think of other things like inguinal hernias. Even hip problems can present as groin pain - so if your doctor hasn't checked already, make sure a good hip exam is done - a hip labral tear can present as groin pain.

See physician: Groin pain is concerning for arthritis or hip impingement. Other diagnosis include a stress fracture, pinched nerve, or hernia. If it has been going on without improvement, see a specialist.
