Instead of a mammogram, why can't i have a thermogram?

Needs more research: More attention should be directed at thermography as a technology that could possibly be used to help with cancer prevention as well as diagnosis. Unfortunately there are many unresolved questions about thermography. More research needs to be done before it can be recommended for all. Here's a good link on the topic: http://bit.Ly/nmfbx7. Consider a mammogram and a mammogram.

Mammo vs Thermo: Thermograms can pick up cancer much earlier than a mammogram and can be used in conjunction with mammograms. Mammograms are considered the gold standard.

Thermography: You have the right to make your own health care decisions, but there is substantial long term data validating mammography as an effective screening tool for breast cancer. For thermography, not so much.
