From infant up: Asthma can affect children from infancy (under a year of age) to teen to adulthood. I personally know a doctor who, unfortunately, developed asthma in his 40's.

Asthma: I am not sure what do you mean by pediatric asthma age group. The most common age of asthma is between 5-15 years of age.

Usually >1 year old: Because many young infants develop wheeze and cough with respiratory viruses, experts reserve the label of asthma for kids who have recurrent episodes responsive to asthma treatments. Often they use the age of one year as a cut-off, but of course there are kids who have asthma younger than that. I would call it asthma if + family history, recurrent symptoms and responsive to tx.
