Routine: Routine dental care is all that is needed. Pregnancy can increase your risk of gum disease because of the hormone fluctuations. However, routine dental care (flossing every day, brushing at least twice a day) and visits to your dentist are all that are needed.

Yes: The pregnancy causes a release of hormones which can inflame the gum tissue..It is very important to brush and floss and still have your teeth cleaned regularly.
