Depends: It depends on the type of aortic valve problem, insufficiency or stenosis. Both have different degress (mild, moderate, severe) and treatment is different in each category. They may have different etiologies also which will require different approaches to treatment as well. Severe forms of either malady will eventually need aortic valve replacement.
