Indirectly.: If the mother is feeling/feeding well the the pregnancy should be fine. When the mother is sick and/or cannot tolerate a balanced diet, then vitamin deficiencies and preterm labor or fetal growth restriction can occur. Women in remission periconceptionally have the best chance for optimal perinatal outcomes.
