A member asked:

Radioactive iodine uptake test - can i still travel afterwards or would i have to hide out for a few days?

No need to hide.: Once you are released by your doctor you are no longer a hazard, but you may set off radiation detectors at a port. This could be very difficult in a foreign country. Best to carry a brief letter noting your recent treatment.

Free to travel: The amount of radioactivity you would take for an uptake test is very tiny....You are free to travel where you want.
