Contraception: Big positive is effective contraception. Avoid remembering to take a pill everyday. Periods, if any, may be lighter. Drawbacks are weight gain, hair loss, mood changes & irregular vaginal bleeding to name a few.

See below: Positives - good birth control, a shot every 3 months, may stop menstrual cycles over time, & nothing to remember. Negatives - some women experience weight gain, depression, transient hair loss, and irregular menstrual bleeding. It may also take up to 6-10 months to conceive once you stop, and there is no estrogen, so long term effects may lead to vaginal dryness (atrophy) and/or osteoporosis.
