It can if...: Asthma can lead to a heart attack if you have coronary arterial disease. The stress from an asthma attack can lead to an mi, or the inflammation associated with uncontrolled asthma might lead to rupture of the plaque in the coronary artery, again leading to mi. This might be the mechanism that explains the increase in heart attacks during high pollution days... But might not.

Not typically...: Myocardial infarction occurs when there is decreased blood flow to a portion of the heart muscle. Asthma can lead to decreased oxygen in the blood but it does not usually lead to myocardial infarction.

Rare: It would have to be severe asthma attack like status asthmaticus with severe hypoxia (lack of oxygen) to cause a myocardial infarction.
