Controlled more like: A healthy diet, getting your weight down and sometimes medication can normalize it. If you stop these things though the blood pressure will climb again.

Possibly: If you are overweight and not exercising then then lose weight, control stress and exercise it is possible to come off blood pressure medications. These healthy choices can ocaisionally cure high bp. In most cases these changes help BP a little and it still needs to be controlled with medication. Its important that high BP is controlled as it leads, often silently, to serious health complications.
