See below: It depends. Your child's weight should be compared to the height. This will allow assessment of bmi and appropriateness of weight. If the bmi and weight are below the 3rd percentile for age, there maybe need for concern. Other concerning things would be rapid or continued weight loss. Lack of appetite in your child, any signs of depression or social withdrawal.
