Yes and no: We are changing our approach to concussions.In the past we did not take minor changes in conscienceness as seriously as we do now.Many of our returning vets from the gulf (and junior seau's suicide) have made us think more about tbi(traumatic brain injury).If someone has an altered awareness at any point after head injury-it is/was a concussion.Take very serious care for this person.

Depends: The effects of concussions can vary and be unpredictable. It depends on the severity of the injury. The symptoms can include headache, dizziness, vision change (blurred vision/ double vision), nausea/vomiting. If your symptoms or headache are severe, or if you have a loss of consciousness, you should get evaluated immediately.
