A member asked:

Why would i need a qualitative hcg measurement?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

To determine if preg: A qualitative HCG test is a fancy name for a pregnancy test. It is either positive or negative. A quantitative HCG test measures the amount of human Chorionic Gonadotropin in your blood, which then reflects the size of the placenta and an idea about how far along the pregnancy is. A negative qualitative HCG will always result in a 0 quantitative HCG result.
