Multiple factors: Lifestyle can contribute to developing coronary heart disease. Smoking is a big risk factor for developing cad. Inactivity and lack of excercise along with poor eating habits can also contribute. Not adhering to a medication regimen for diabetic or those with high cholesterol or blood pressure further adds to the risk.
