Stages of breastmilk: During the first five days the breasts make colostrum, which is high in antibodies and other factors to protect the infant against neonatal infections. After the 5th day the breastmilk is the transitional milk which is slightly different from mature milk. After the 15th day the breastmilk is called mature milk whih has all the ingredients of breastmilk which provides numerous benefits to the infan.
