A member asked:

How will ageusia affect the body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very little: With ageusia, you will lose some aspects of your sense of taste. This can be a local condition with no effects on the rest of the body, but can also be associated with some systemic disease so there will be other issues not caused by the ageusia. The major effect might simply be that certain foods will lose their appeal and some may actually be unpleasant.
