Native Americans: In traditional medicine, cramp bark has been used to slow the flow of menstrual bleeding in menorrhagia. It can reduce menstrual cramping. It has been used to aid digestion & as a diuretic. It has been purported to slow uterine contractions when preterm birth is threatening.
