No: If you are more than 13 days late, you need to see a doctor to find out why whether or not you are pregnant or late because of stress or other medical reasons. In some cases, when period is late , but is coming soon can cause cramping as well.

Check it out: If you have been sexually active - take a pregnancy test now. Can't say what the cause of the cramping is. It may or may not be related to your menstrual cycle.

Pregnancy test: If you missed your period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
