How can someone control arteriosclerosis?

Lifestyle & medicine: The first steps are diet, exercise and smoking cessation. The second step is medication. Depending on your cholesterol levels and quality medication will be the only way to get this disease under control.

Two Things: Statins and lifestyle. The cholesterol-lowering medications known as statins dramatically decrease the severity and extent of arteriosclerosis, and engaging in a low-salt low-cholesterol diet with a healthy serving of exercise will increase the medications effects dramatically. When treated to particularly aggressive goals, studies have shown that this combination can even reverse some damage.
