Yes: Finasteride does cause sexual dysfunction. If this occurs, then oral medications such as viagra, (sildenafil) cialis, etc. Can be beneficial. If these fail, the penile injections or a vauum erection deveice may be needed.

No: You can talk to your doctor about taking the medication intermittently. The libido will return when you have been off of the drug for a few days.

If you stop it: If you stop the propecia, (finasteride) the side effects will go away. However, so will the benefits. See if your libido returns to normal after you are on the Propecia (finasteride) for six months. Propecia (finasteride) lowers the dihydrotestosterone but not the total testosterone. Libido has alot of inputs other than just a component of a hormone, and your mind can make up for the slight hormonal change.(proscar=5xpropecia).
