Neurocysticercosis: This is the invasion of the parasite commonly injested from infected and under cooked pork. The parasite forms cysts. When inactive they may be silent, but when active they cause reactions around themselves and may cause seizures. The cysts calcify and may be found during the work up for seizrues. There are medications that can kill the parasite.
