What are the symptoms of folliculitis?

Follicle inflammatio: Inflammation of the follicle can be recognized by characteristic redness, swelling and sometimes pustule limited to hair follicles. Often caused by infection with common skin bacteria after minor trauma to the skin. Sometimes painful and itchy.
