Allergic to pigment: The pigments used in tattoos are not regulated and thus you may well become allergic to one of the elements (often a metal) in the tattoo. Although topical cortisone cream may help. the reaction will continue or even progress until the offending agent is eliminated. Laser tattoo removal may hasten the elimination but it still takes time.
