Sex: the best way to avoid being pregnant is to be abstinent , but if it not possible then a condom can be used although it is not 100 % fail proof

It only takes once: If you're mature enough to have sex, then you must make a mature decision to have safe sex. In California, you can obtain contraceptives & be tested for STD's without parental permission. Go to Planned Parenthood ASAP, as the "morning after" pill only works within 5 days of having unprotected sex, the sooner, the better.
