Hepatitis C: Well Barbra, a very small number of people are lucky enough to clear the hepatitis virus on their own..most do not. A simple antibody test will show if you have been exposed. Then your doctor needs to determine the virus genotype, viral load and if there are any liver complications like cirrhosis or elevated enzymes. Treatment has just gotten amazingly better with 1 pill a day for 12 weeks.
