Yes: The risk of getting a second STD is higher if you get one. For example about a quarter of the people who have chlamydia also have gonorrhea. Having an STD also increases the risk of getting HIV.

Possibly: In this day and age, those who have multiple sexual partners may contract multiple STD's. You should be evaluated and get treated as indicated.
