How can a doctor diagnose eosinophilic fasciitis? i have had inundations in thigh for weeks, skin looks ok, not squeezable. pains, ultrasound normal

Biopsy: Eosinophilic fasciitis is diagnosed by biopsy. Usually, the result is surprising because the affected area is thought to be infected, & during surgical debridement (ie washing out of 'bacteria') a sample is sent to the pathology lab. That being said, any surgeon can take a biopsy & perform what is necessary provided u have symptoms or a scan (MRI in this case) that suggest fasciitis. Good luck!
