So far is this flu season worse than most? my grandmother and her roommate died and my sisters friend died. if you are at risk of dying is it obvious?

Not worse: than most. It's on parallel with 2012-13 but not near as bad as 2003-4. The elderly, very young and those with underlying immune deficiency or lung disease are most at risk. However, healthy people can be severely afflicted and even die. Handwashing and avoiding those who are ill can help. If you haven't been immunized, do so now. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
