Urine assessment: Have his urine checked to rule out infection. If there is no infection, I would let him control his own bathroom activity. Asking every hour will eventually drive you crazy. Let him work it out. All the best.

Toilet training: he ever been toilet trained? was he ever dry and he just started to wet himself again? I would see the Pediatrician and answer these questions and take a urine test, you should not be worried but should take some actions. Also make sure he is not constipated because constipation adds to this problem. If you never tried to toilet train him its time to consider that as well.

Don't worry: If he has normal BM's, then I wouldn't worry too much.He may have a small capacity bladder and if he is playing, he may not be able to hold it when he becomes aware of it. If his urine is very dilute and looks like water, cutting back a little on his fluids may help. If he doesn't improve with praise, check bladder volume and urine stream. If BM's are infrequent, he may be a "holder."
