It depends.: It's not the size of a metastatic nodule that matters, but where it is located. If it is located adjacent to the actual tumor, it means something different then it does if it is located in a distant organ, such as the liver or lungs. Your doctor should go over the results of the pet scan in detail with you. Good luck.
